Borschtisov (French: Boustringovitch) is one of many Bolshevik terrorists that Tintin met in the Soviet Union who appeared in Tintin in the Land of the Soviets. Borschtisov is part of a mission to blow up all of other capital cities in Europe to spark unrest that could potentially lead to socialist revolutions.
When Tintin entered the restaurant, Borschtisov, disguised as the butler, showed him his room, and was seen pouring chloroform onto the flowers when Tintin indeed turned his back, and thus chloroformed Snowy. He was eventually defeated, and was arrested by the German police.
