Eastdown is a location in England in The Adventures of Tintin series. It all started where Tintin was about to find the unregistered plane that crashed at the same place.

There is a real village in England called East Down, but it is in Devon; the place in The Black Island is located in Sussex. The name was doubtless inspired by the South Downs in that part of England.
