George is a sailor and a friend of Bill the Cook who appears in Red Rackham's Treasure.
History
At one point, George became friends with Bill prior or sometime during their seafaring careers. He initially appeared in Red Rackham's Treasure as a customer within a bar named "The Anchor", where he encountered his friend Bill visiting the place to have a drink. There, George listened to Bill as he explained about Red Rackham, his treasure, and how Tintin and Captain Haddock were arranging the search for it. However, Bill decided to cut the conversation short when he noticed a journalist eavesdropping on the information he was giving out to George.
Despite being interested in the hunt for the treasure, he did not join the heroes' search for it.
