Inspector Chambers (French: L'inspecteur Chaubet) is a member of the Police Protection squad stationed at Professor Hercules Tarragon's residence in The Seven Crystal Balls.
History[]
Chambers is the head of the police team in charge of protecting Professor Hercules Tarragon following the attacks of sufferings within the members of the Sanders-Hardiman Expedition.
He verifies the identities of Tintin, Haddock, and Cuthbert Calculus who showed up at Tarragons's house and escorts them inside.
During the night, he finds with Tintin and Haddock that Tarragon has in turn been the victim of a crystal ball attack and tries to understand where the culprit went.
When Tintin confirmed that somebody escaped from the chimney, he ordered them to check the roofs and search the grounds. When they spotted the criminal, Chambers shot in the direction at a man who is fleeing through the garden (probably Rupac Inca Huaco) and wounding him. They are unable to find him, due to Snowy's poor sense from the coal, and from Tarragon suffering in agony.
The next morning, he called the police about Calculus's kidnapping and gives a description of the car in which the kidnappers were.
