King M'Hatuvu is the highest monarch of the M'Hatuvu people, one of the tribes in the Belgian Congo.

After Muganga hid and fired an arrow, from Tom's orders, sending an insulting letter to King M'Hatuvu, saying that the M'Hatuvu people are lily-livered and will declare war on the M'Hatuvu people, he ordered general mobilization and declared war on the Babaoro’m tribe.
He led the attack on the Babaoro’m village, but their offensive was sabotaged when their artillery exploded while attempting to bomb Tintin at the same time.
The king was furious with their failure in their offensive on the Babaoro'm in battle, and he attempted to kill Tintin with his spear in defiance. However, his attempt failed as Tintin used an electromagnet to pull the spear away. Eventually, Tintin brokered peace between the king and the Babaoro'm tribe.
