King Muskar XII is the King of Syldavia. He appears in King Ottokar's Sceptre, first published in 1938. He is a descendant of King Ottokar IV and a keen motorist who drives his own car and even has his own gun for protection. He is married to an unnamed Queen. In the television adaptation of King Ottokar's Sceptre he is known as Ottokar XII. In previous editions of the comics he is also mistakenly referred to as Muskar IV. The two Moon adventures are both set in Syldavia as part of the space programme King Muskar supports. His name is even mentioned in Explorers on the Moon.
