Lobsang is a young Tibetan Buddhist Monk, of the Monastery of Khor-Biyong. He is still an apprentice monk at the time of Tintin's travels in Tibet Lobsang is a very active boy and is not afraid of dogs like some of the other monks. It was Lobsang who identified Snowy's gender as male. He calls Snowy, Powder snow.
