Müsstler is the leader of the Z.Z.R.K, and the unseen main antagonist of King Ottokar’s Sceptre. As leader of the Zyldav Zentral Revolutzionär Komitzät - who called themselves the Iron Guard - Müsstler conspired to orchestrate a coup d'état to overthrow King Muskar XII with support from Borduria, which would then annex the Kingdom of Syldavia. Although the conspiracy was almost a success, the last-minute retrieval of the stolen sceptre of Ottokar IV exposed Müsstler and his allies after Tintin discovered papers about the coup that the former had signed. As a result, Syldavian forces raided the home where Müsstler lived, arresting him and the majority of his cohorts, including Alfred Alembick, who had been taking shelter there after his escape from prison. The name 'Müstler' might be a compound of axis powers statesmen Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.
