M. Dupont was an Egyptologist from the The Adventures of Tintin series who appeared briefly in the original work of Cigars of the Pharaoh. He doesn't appear in a redrawn version. He was the 4th Egyptologist who discovered the tomb of Kih-Oskh.
History[]
He was one of the many Egyptologists that were imprisoned in the lost tomb of the Pharaoh Kih-Oskh by the Kih-Oskh Brotherhood. When Tintin himself traveled through the tomb in search of Sophocles Sarcophagus, he passed by M. Dupont wrapped up in a coffin along with many other Egyptologists like E.P. Jacobini, M. Trentin, Sandys, Sauerkraut and P. Schwarz.
Trivia[]
- Dupont is also a name of Thomson and Thompson in original version, but the two characters were unnamed until King Ottokar's Sceptre. The egyptologist Dupont is wearing a similar hat to Thompson's.
