Martine Vandezande is a character in Tintin and Alph-Art.

Very little is known about Martine. She is quite happy in her job and is pleased when Tintin comes to the gallery multiple times in the book. She is easily upset, especially when Tintin makes her cry after accusing her of tipping off criminals who tried to kill him.

Yves Rodier Version

In Yves Rodier's version, Martine is depicted as a red-headed young assistant with glasses.

  • Martine's nationality is a Belgian like Tintin and Martine's hometown is Brussels.
  • Martine Vandezande seems to be based on Nana Mouskouri, a Greek singer.
  • Martine may have developed a love interest for Tintin as in Yves Rodier's completed version of the book, she asked him out to meet her parents.
