The Missionary Priest is a man of the Catholic Church stationed by Pope Pius XI in the Belgian Congo in order to help the Congolese become Christians.
History[]
He first appears rescuing Tintin and Snowy from crocodiles along the edge of a river. He then takes Tintin back to his mission at a nearby village where Tintin briefly helps to teach Math to the townspeople's children while Father Sebastian, another missionary priest, is ill. He appears again reading the Bible when Snowy alerts him that Tintin is on a rope bridge left by Tom the stowaway.
