Mrs. Laijot is an elderly woman who appears in Tintin and Alph-Art.
Tintin and Alph-Art[]
After Tintin wrongfully accuses Martine Vandezande of revealing his whereabouts to his attackers, he asks her for anyone else at her office. She tells him that the book-keeper, Mrs. Laijot, is there. She tells him that she is a little deaf and to knock more loudly. When Tintin enters her office, Mrs. Laijot initially believes that it is Martine coming over to pick up the report. When Tintin asks her about Mr. Fourcart, she sternly denies any involvement in his death and gruffly complains that she had spent 25 years working in the company, which scares Tintin.
Trivia[]
- She is the very first deaf woman in the series to appear, after Calculus.
