Princess Maita is the daughter of the Prince of the Sun and only appears in the 1969 film, "Tintin and the Temple of the Sun”, and she has a Crush on Zorrino. her father has Tintin, Captain Haddock, and Zorrino brought to the court to punish them for their transgressions and violating the sacred temple, she immediately becomes smitten by Zorrino and begs her father to spare them, but he refuses. The following night, she and Zorrino sing their sorrows for their nascent love before morning came. During the time of the sacrifice, she tearfully bids Zorrino farewell before he is to be sacrificed and then tries again to persuade her father to spare the three along with Professor Calculus, only to be again be refused as her father tells her that Rascar Capac demands that they are to be punished. But during the solar eclipse, unlike the other Inca men and women who flee and bow down in terror, she instead praises the sun god for presumably hearing her prayers. After the eclipse ends and the prisoners are set free, she bids Tintin and his friends farewell and declares that the fires from Pachacamac will burn to symbolize their friendship, no longer sacrifices.
