The Black Island is a two-part episode of The Adventures of Tintin, produced by Ellipse-Nelvana, based on the book of the same name by Hergé.

Changes from the Book

The misunderstood gorilla, Ranko, crushes a rock that Tintin throws at him, something that did not happen in the book. Another change was that the counterfeiting ring based in the castle only consisted of Puschov, Dr. J.W. Müller and Ivan, whereas in the book, there were an additional two anonymous members, and some of the some of the names were switched (Ivan was instead one of these anonymous characters.)

Voice Cast

Production errors

  • In part 2, when Tintin runs onto the footbridge that runs over the railway line, the engine of the train changes its appearance.
