Tintin and the Counterfeiters was a proposed work in The Adventures of Tintin by Hergé. Little is known about it except that it was begun sometime in 1978 after the publication of Tintin and the Picaros. Having a plotline based around some form of counterfeiter ring does give it similarities to The Black Island. The concept was apparently abandoned by Hergé and afterwards he began work on Tintin and Alph-Art.
