Tintin and the SGM is a short animated advertising film released in 1969, directed by Raymond Leblanc and produced by Belvision. Its purpose was to promote the General Belgian Society of Minerals which was a mining company based in Liege.

Tintin and Snowy follows the company endeavours in Belgium, Congo, the USA, France and Japan. M. SGM, the director of the company, guides his factory over the world. One of the Tintin's destinations is Congo, and Tintin says “Since our last trip, the Congo has been completely transformed.” which mentions former adventure Tintin in the Congo.
