The Diplodocus appears in King Ottokar's Sceptre. It is a highly complete specimen of D. giganticus. Snowy takes the lower bone of its front leg, proudly declaring how wonderful the bones in the country were. However, Tintin angrily orders Snowy to return the bone to the museum. While returning to the museum, a hoard of dogs ceases the bone and begin to duke it out among each other for possession of the prize. A worker at the museum is seen questioning the disappearance of the bone.
