An unnamed friend of Thomson and Thompson is a farmer in the countryside who appears in Red Rackham's Treasure and novel Thomson And Thompson, Detectives. After their expedition to the site of the shipwreck of The Unicorn, the Thompsons took a vacation at the friend's house. The day after their arrival, the farmer went missing. They discovered that he had been killed by The Farmhand because he refused to give him money.
